Roots Health and Safety Procedures - Effective June 2020
Dear Valued Guests,
Welcome back to Roots! We are so glad you are here! To best serve you, we kindly ask you to follow the protocols that we have in place to keep us all healthy and safe. If you are sick or not feeling well, please reschedule your appointment. We promise to find a spot for you! We are forgoing our cancellation policy for the time being, however, our no-show policy remains in effect and you are subject to any prepayments required to make your next appointment should you no show at an appointment.
1. Please wait in your car when you arrive.
When you confirm your appointment via text message, you will be prompted to let us know that you are here. We will then text you when you may come into the salon. You will go directly to your service provider’s station. If you do not use text messaging, please call the salon to let us know you have arrived, and we will come out to get you when we are ready.
2. We ask that only the person or persons who are scheduled for an appointment come into the building.
If you are being dropped off, please let your ride know they may not enter the building. There will be one entrance in and one exit per floor, out of the building to keep the flow of traffic to a minimum.
3. Please wear a mask when you come to your appointment.
If you do not have one, you may purchase one from Roots for $1. If you are coming for a color service, know that it is likely to get color on it. Once you enter the building please sanitize your hands either by washing them or using any of the hand sanitizers that are available to you at the salon.
-We will still offer beverages like coffee and soda. We will be using single use cups for your convenience.
-All stations will be set up in the 6ft accordance to the CDC guidelines.
-Every guest will be given a clean cape to wear and all brushes and tools will be sanitized between each guest.
-Nail appointments will be done with plexiglass between the customer and your nail technician.
-All shampooing will be done with both guest and stylist or assistants masked.
-All facial waxing services, with the exception of the lip wax, will be done while both the client and the stylist are masked. Our wax station is kept to PA State sanitation regulations as always. Our providers will be gloved during your waxing services.
-All color services will be increasing $5 to offset the increasing costs of supplies due to the Covid-19 crisis.
We are striving to keep you the guest and our service providers safe in this ever-changing world. To do that we must implement this change. We appreciate your understanding.
After your services are complete, you will be rescheduling your appointment at your service providers station.
If you need to make more than one appointment, we ask that you make it while you are at the salon with your stylist or with a receptionist. We are only making one appointment via phone calls for the time being to ensure all our guests are taken care of in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our retail area will remain the same in appearance. We ask that if you need a product that you ask your service provider or another Roots employee to assist you. This will help keep our shelves as contactless as possible. You will then be directed to our reception area where you will be asked to pay for your services.
If you have received your services on the 1st or 3rd floors you will check out at the designated area on those floors.
We are currently accepting cash, check or credit cards as payment for services. What may look a little different is each check out station will now be equipped with a Tippy kiosk.
We will no longer be accepting tips added to your credit card through our credit card machine. Tippy is an easy and cashless way to tip your service provider. There is a small service fee associated with Tippy. Having Tippy helps us keep our costs down in relation to the increase in price for sanitation due to the Covid-19 crisis. Tips are not limited to the Tippy kiosk. You may still give tips as you like via cash or check.
We at Roots are so excited to be back in action! We cannot wait to have you in our chairs! We have missed you so much and we look forward to serving you in the best way we know how!!
